It does not plug in via USB - the description is incorrect. It plugs in via 3.5mm jack *only*.
Not the best quality mic perhaps (I had constant ambient noise being detected on audacity, maybe it was due to the laptop fan, I will have to give it benefit of doubt there). That it can rotate in socket and can move 180deg. gives it the ability to point in any direction. Was able to detect sound from a few metres away, so sensitivity is good enough for me.
Not bad. I had delivery issues with this product, but the amazon customer service was good enough.

I bought an acer pc and after having loads of problems with a Dell, anyway after purchasing found the acer pce I found that it didn't have a built in microphone, but I am so glad that I did not have a built in mic as my brother in New Zealand and my sister in america say that it has great sound quality and that it is a lot better than the built in microphone on the Dell that I had. It is small and very simple but does a great job - you just plug it in and go - great price too..........

The new Acer laptop came with a webcam but no inbuilt microphone. I wondered if the stereo jack plug would work in the mic socket - but it works well and is much more sensitive than the inbuilt mic in our other Acer laptop. It is small and pivots to the side - it also rotates in the jack socket. Great little gadget for Skyping, good price, highly recommended.

In comparison to past mics i`ve had this is fabulous. It works (which in itself is an improvement!!) and it was not too expensive.
