Our kits include the bird box or feeder, adjustable focus black and white or colour camera, integral microphone and all the cable, adaptors and fixing kits you require to get your wildlife camera up and running. The only other thing you need is a television on which to watch those amazing images! When making your choice of product, it is important to consider the following: Cameras can be supplied in black and white or colour versions. The nest box will need to be illuminated in some way. Infrared illumination (IR) is a very effective way to illuminate the inside of a nest box. Used in conjunction with an infrared sensitive black and white camera, it is possible to view inside the nest box 24 hours a day. The light emitted is invisible to birds and in no way affects their natural nesting cycles. Colour cameras require a higher ambient light level to produce colour pictures. Colour cameras with IR are available and produce colour images during the day and automatically switch to a black and white image (aided by IR) when light levels drop below a certain level. Nest box camera kits can be supplied with a wired or wireless option. Wired cameras involve passing a cable through a partially open window or door or drilling a more permanent hole through the wall.
