Limited Flasher June 6, 2010 Mr. M. Whitenburg (Wirral, England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
If this is not on top of the wireless connector is keeps telling me the battery is low when the batteries are new. That annoys especially when the mouse must be a metre from the connector to work. Don't put mouse on the keyboard when not in use it goes wild and runs down the battery within an hour. Otherwise dissappointed because I thought I would have had a lot more freedom....which I don't. It works but limited.
Microsoft Wireless Mouse June 2, 2010 Mr. P. Welch (UK) A Fantastic product at a great price, durable easy to use and good battery life.
Worth buying May 30, 2010 D. MCWHIRTER (UK) The mouse is very responsive with the only down side being that it is quite big-but for the money you can't argue.
Great little mouse May 29, 2010 divinemadness (Southampton, UK) I bought this mouse because I was getting annoyed trying to play GTA: Vice City on my netbook with a tiny little touchpad. After browsing the stuff at a local PC World I decided I wasn't so desperate for one I was happy paying £25 for a basic small wired notebook mouse, I paid less for my Logitech G5 gaming mouse!
When I spotted this on here I snapped it up, only just over a tenner, wireless and a decent colour.
As for the mouse itself, it's great though does have one or two little niggles. Compatibility is brilliant, works without fuss on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04 and so I imagine would do so in Vista, XP and most other common systems these days. The wireless receiver tucks nicely into the bottom and when doing so depresses a small switch that turns the mouse off, a very simple yet clever system that stops it wasting battery power. It's a nice size, small enough to be portable but not so small it is uncomfortable to use and in another plus for portability, it tracks pretty well on lots of surfaces, from a desk to my jeans.
Onto the niggles though, firstly it has a 'back' button but this is located just below the scroll wheel and so with a mouse this small, it is actually fairly difficult to use as it needs you to move your hand quite a way. Secondly the receiver is the older bigger type and this does leave it prone to being broken if you move your laptop around a lot, if I were to purchase again I would definitely look into getting a more expensive model with the newer nano receiver which only protrudes a few mm from the USB socket.
Overall I am very happy with the mouse and for the price the above niggles are easily forgiveable, though for people looking for more than a slight extra convenience it may pay off in the long run to investigate the more expensive models. Vice City is now much more playable than before so it solved my problem!
As good as expected May 25, 2010 D. Dunn (Berkshire, UK) This mouse works perfectly well with my Netbook and PC - it's small enough to slip into a Netbook bag but not too small that you'd have a job to use it. It's much cheaper than getting it direct from Dell, PC World etc too. I'd recommend it.
