Works with Apple Keynote as well as MS PowerPoint! May 10, 2009 trikaya (Herts, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Thanks to everyone who posted a review; bought the presenter about nine months ago and wanted to give it a thorough workout before commenting here.
The best accolade I can provide is simply this: it works. First time out the box and every occasion since. No hitch, no glitch. How often can one say that of an IT product? Loaded in seconds, PP fired up and reassuringly functioning without requiring several hours pre-planning, invocation of superstitious rituals, obscenities nor panic attacks usually associated with pres prep...
My discovery of equal fuss-less Keynote compatibility two minutes ago arose through the expiry of an Acer Aspire One netbook (two warranty fixes inside six months) and subsequent - inevitable - repentant turning from my 20 years of Microsoft submissive dark side worship to...a new Macbook yesterday. Buy cheap, buy twice. 'nuff said.
Without straying into a Macbook review (okay one word: superb), suffice to say Kensington USB slotted in, PP I'm doing on Tues imported into Keynote, few font tweaks and the Kensington snug in palm....joy. It loads as a new keyboard for some reason, but big deal, three clicks and it's showtime. Stop dithering. Whichever way you swing, Gates or Jobs, just do it.
Review of Kensington Si600 Wireless Presenter May 5, 2009 Mrs. S. M. McALPINE (UK) This presenter is fantastic. It is easy to set up and easy to use. You just plug in the USB and it is ready. It is nice to hold - no distraction from your presentation. Colleagues have tried it and have gone on to purchase one for themselves.
Still going strong! April 30, 2009 Once bitten (Lancaster UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Used almost every day during term time, works a treat.
Laser pointer is discreet to use and it flicks the screens back and forth on PowerPoint (It'll do that from inside my jacket pocket). This allows me to wander to the back of the classroom and check that everyone can see (and that their paying attention).
It used the pair of batteries supplied after about one month but the next set are still going strong.
It doesn't do everything that a mouse does but it works fine for me teaching technical stuff to teenagers.
Brilliant April 26, 2009 Perry J. Preston (England) Do not miss this product it's brilliant, does everything and more should be twice the price.Bin the mouse forget.... tapping laptops during your presentation.............................................. and get one.
Limited functionality April 24, 2009 Sea Eagle (Berkshire, England) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought this to remotely control presentations created using Photodex ProShow AV software. It doesn't work with that application and Kensington now tell me it only works with MS Powerpoint. Shame Kensington don't tell you that first !
